Our one-week camps are all about putting yourself out there and doing things you’ve never tried before. After one week in New Zealand’s great outdoors, you’ll return home with a new hop in your step.

New Zealand outdoor education camp

Our outdoor education camps are built for those who want to challenge themselves and push themselves to achieve more. Situated in the central North Island there are few places on earth that offer the landscape, safety and accessibility of the area. A must for go-getters and adventurers alike.

Daily routine

Each day you can expect to be woken up at 6.30am to cook breakfast and prepare lunch for later in the day before leaving the camp by 9am. You can expect to be out in the wilderness with your instructors taking part in a range of activities from 9am to 5pm each day. As a member of a group of 10 students you will be accompanied by a professional outdoor guide and a translator where necessary. Dinner is usually served around 6pm after which there might be an evening activity at around 8pm.

Your activities will consist of team building exercises, hiking, high ropes, overnight camping and rock climbing amongst others. All of these activities are designed to improve self-confidence, leadership and teamwork skills. More information on the type of activities possibly included in your camp can be found in the activities section.

‘Mini tour’

At the conclusion of their 4 nights on camp, you will commence your ‘Mini North Island Tour’. You will be picked up from camp and driven to Rotorua where you’ll experience a night in a traditional Maori Marae including eating the traditional Maori ‘hangi’. Your last day in New Zealand will see you visit Hobbiton and then onto Auckland where you can do some shopping and explore New Zealand’s largest city. Your flight departs Auckland later that night.

Who’s it for?
